Lewis Everett Sr., 78 MILLINGTON, Md. - George "Fuzzy" Lewis Everett Sr., of Millington, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at his home. He was 78. George L. Everett Sr. was born April 24, 1933, near Kennedyville, the son of the late Newell Boggs Everett Sr. and Mary "Truitt" Everett. Mr. Everett was a lifetime resident of Kent county, graduating from Galena High School in 1951. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. After an honorable discharge he went to work for General Motors and then on the horse farm. He married Joyce Everett on August 4, 1984. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, shuffleboard, soccer, golf, softball and staying active. He was a member of the Millington Moose Lodge and was very involved with everything to do with horses and breeding. Mr. Everett is survived by his wife, Joyce Everett of Millington; one son, George Lewis Everett Jr. of Wyoming, Del.; one daughter, Connie Ridgway of Cheswald, Del.; two brothers, N.B. Everett of Manasses, Va., Spencer Everett of Berlin; one sister, June Cook of Millington; two step children, Robert Tennison of Dover, Del., and Loraine Susan Tennison of Clarksville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Dori, Dean, Danny, and Melaney; and ten great-grandchildren Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Millington Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 255, Millington, MD 21651. Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington.
