Kershaw, Sr., 84 George Willard Kershaw, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 in Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Mr. Kershaw was born in Boothwyn Pa., the son of the late John and Ella (Cohee) Kershaw. Mr. Kershaw was a self-employed Paving Contractor for 30 years, retiring in 1984. Mr. Kershaw was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of AMVETS in Longneck. He enjoyed traveling and sightseeing, and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Sports Teams and enjoyed attending their games. He also enjoyed attending NASCAR Races all across the country. He enjoyed and took great pride in his Rose Garden. He was a loving husband and father and was loved by all who knew him. In addition to both parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Wayne Kershaw; and first wife, Kathryn Kershaw. Mr. Kershaw is survived by his wife of 29 years, Frances A. (Fitzsimmons) Kershaw; a son, George W. Kershaw Jr. of Ellendale; four grandchildren, George W. Kershaw III, Katie Kershaw Yezek, Kevin Kershaw and John W. Kershaw. A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 East Market Street, Georgetown. Burial will be Private.
