George Edward 'Eddie' Holston Sr., 58

MILFORD - George Edward "Eddie" Holston Sr., of Milford, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 58.

Mr. Holston was born Feb. 7, 1950, in Milford, son of Susan E. (Jones) Holston and the late Ernest P. Holston.

He was a veteran of the Delaware National Guard.

Mr. Holston was employed with the Sussex Co. in Milford before he went out on medical disability in 2000.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, George E. Jr. and Kim Holston of Edgar Spring, Mo., and James E. and Michelle Holston of Bedford, Mass.; their mother, Janice Dill of Felton; his mother, Susan E. Holston of Milford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, E. Thomas and Janice Holston of Clark Summit, Pa., and Gary T. and Susan Holston of Milford; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean K. Jarrell of Felton and Joan F. and John Schiable of Dover; three grandchildren, J.P. Holston, Cameron Holston and Alexis Holston; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call two hours prior.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
