George Earle Kreigh

George Earle Kreigh, 77 LINCOLN - George Earle Kreigh, age 77, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, in Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kreigh was born on Feb. 9, 1932, in Commack, Long Island, N.Y., son of the late Leo C. and May Louise (Baitinger) Kreigh. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during the Korean War. Mr. Kreigh was employed as a mechanic in the power house for the DuPont Company in Seaford, retiring in 1985. He was currently working in maintenance for Boulevard Ford in Georgetown. George's favorite hobby was collecting license plates from all 50 states and other parts of the world. He was a 5 year member of the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company where he served as a member of the fire police and as a chaplain, a life member of the Farmington Volunteer Fire Company serving as the company's chaplain; a 27 year member of the Milford Elks Lodge #2401; a 24 year member of the Milford Moose Lodge #2316; a member and past president of the Delaware State Fire Police; a member of the American Legion Post #28 in Millsboro, a member of the Korean War Veterans Association and a member of the Forty and Eight. Mr. Kreigh attended the Ellendale United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Kreigh and Leo Kreigh. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Isabel MacDonald Kreigh; a daughter and son-in-law, Margo and Jack Hopkins of Lincoln; and a grandson, Lance Wyatt and his wife Brie of Milford. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 5, Ellendale, DE, 19941 or the Farmington Volunteer Fire Company, 20920 S. DuPont Hwy, Farmington, DE, 19950.
