HARTLY - George Charles Mitchell, II of Hartly went home to be with His Savior Thursday, June 2, 2016. George was born Sept. 22, 1977 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Sandra Vass. He worked as an electrician for Brown and Root Associates at the DuPont Plant as a subcontractor as well as being a Youth Pastor at the Faith Baptist Church in Smyrna, but his favorite job was being a daddy! George was a proud father, and a Boston Red Sox fan and loved UNC basketball. George is survived by his wife of 6 years, April of Hartly; children, Landon Charles and Larah Cortne and a large number of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Youth Group at Faith Baptist Church, 1575 Bryn Zion Rd, Smyrna, DE 19977.
