Bonnewell, 65 BRIDGEVILLE - George 'Rex' Bonnewell, 65, of Bridgeville, formerly of Wilmington passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Genesis – Seaford Center. He was the son of the late Norman T. Bonnewell and Elsie M. Campbell Mr. Bonnewell graduated from the University of Delaware as a design engineer. He was a talented artist and was very skilled with drawing, painting, and design. He enjoyed painting lighthouses and water scenes. He was employed by Hercules Corporation for many years & was a consultant in the Wilmington area. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and travelling. He enjoyed life and exploring all that the world offered. His zest for life will be greatly missed. Mr. Bonnewell was a member and Past Master of Temple Masonic Lodge #11 and served on the Grand Staff of the Grand Lodge of Delaware. He enjoyed being part of the Masonic brotherhood for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by brothers, John and Teddy Bonnewell. He is survived by son, David Rex Bonnewell of Chandler, Ariz.; sister, Linda Grady of Swartz Creek, Mich.; a numerous amount of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews Graveside Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at the Downing Cemetery, Oak Hall, Va. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington.
