SMYRNA - Genevieve C. Frazee, nee Carrow, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home on Dec. 9, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Frazee Sr.; her two brothers, James and Clifton "Kiss" Carrow; and her sister, Janice Schmidt, nee Carrow.
Genevieve is survived by her two children, Michele Frazee Kochis and John Franklin Frazee, Jr.; her grandchildren, Genna and her husband Michael Helfrich, Allen and his wife Ryan Thompson, and John Franklin Frazee, III.
Genevieve was born on Mar. 15, 1926 in Clayton, the daughter of the late Frank and Estella Carrow. She graduated from John Bassett Moore High School, Smyrna in 1944. Genevieve attended the Delaware Hospital School of nursing in Wilmington in 1944 and served with the Army Nursing Corps for the duration of WWII. She married John Franklin Frazee Sr., Feb. 25, 1956, and retired from the State of Delaware in 1987.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
