DOVER - Gayle E. Chambers, 58, Dover, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010, at her home with family by her side. She was born on March 31, 1952 in Dover, to the late Harold and Fannie Maclary Shockley. Gayle worked as a switch board operator at KGH Bayhealth Hospital for over 22 years. She enjoyed watching soap operas and the Food Network. She had a special love for cats. She is survived by children, Randy Chambers, Jr, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Aimee Johnson, of Dover; two sisters and their husbands, Krysti Louise and Nick Loebe, of Felton, Bobbi Shockley and Brian Donahue of Dover; granddaughter, Jadyn Chambers; nieces, Casee Shockley-Wroten, and Courtney Donahue; nephews, Nicholas Loebe, and Justin Loebe; best friend, Diane McGown; and special friends, Julie and Ida; and a host of other family and friends. Memorial Services will be held 1 p.m., Sunday Aug. 22, 2010, at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family request that memorial contributions be given to American Cancer Society 92 Read's Way Suite 205 New Castle, DE 19720 or family and friends can send flowers.
