WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Gary L. Bland Jr., of Waynesboro, Pa. and formerly of Smyrna, Del., passed away on Thurs. June 2, 2011, of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was 26. Gary was a 2002 graduate of Smyrna High School, and had been employed as a welder at GM, Newark. He enjoyed working on cars, paint balling, target practicing, riding off-road vehicles, and especially being with his children, family, and friends. He is survived by his high-school sweetheart, Khandi Kassing; children, Gary Bland III, Kaly Bland, Lilliana Bland, and Brayden Bland; parents, Ginny and John Clendaniel Jr.; father, Gary L. Bland Sr.; brothers, Daniel Hindt and John Clendaniel III; sister, Tiffany Bland; maternal grandparents, Vera Anthony and the late John Anthony Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mildred Bland and the late Richard Bland Sr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held 5:30 p.m. Tues. June 7, 2011, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 4:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
