Cammisa, 66 MAGNOLIA - Gary "Gaye" J. Cammisa, 66, of Magnolia passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2014. Gaye was born in Juniper, S.C. to the late Laverne and Grace (Turbeville) Coker. She had previously worked for Berry Van Lines in Dover. Mrs. Cammisa was a member of the Frederica Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She lived for her grandchildren and loved Elvis and dancing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy Godwin. She is survived by her son, Samuel and his wife Michelle Cammisa III; three brothers, Laverne (Janet) Coker, Roger (Lorraine) Coker, and Jim Coker all of S.C.; two grandchildren, John David Jones and Samuel Cammisa IV; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bayhealth Kent General and Emergency Dept. CVSICU 2B. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home Main Street, Felton, DE 19943 where friends may call after 12 p.m. Interment will be at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery in Frederica. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Cammisa's memory can be donated to: Frederica Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary PO Box 28, Frederica DE 19946.
