DOVER, DE - G. Roland Everett, Jr. passed away in his home on October 20, 2023.
He was survived by his wife, Connie Everett; his children. Roland Everett, III, (Debbie), Deborah Ann McGinnes, (Jerry), Dwayne E. Frazier (Becky); grandchildren, G. Roland Everett IV (Nichole), Dawn M. Burton ( Jason), Tabetha Harding (Ronald), Jerry McGinnes, Jr. (Kimberly), Dwayne E. Frazier, Jr., Katelyn Cooper (Alex); eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Roland, known also as "Chick", was born on February 3, 1938 to George Roland Everett, Sr. and Grace King Everett in Dover, Delaware. He grew up in Dover and graduated from Dover High School. He spent most of his adult life working as a mechanic at General Foods of Dover until his retirement.
After his retirement, he and his wife traveled in their camper all over the United States for about a year and a half. He loved woodworking and would spend hours in his shop at home on his crafts. He especially loved antique cars and street rods. Roland also was an avid fan of the Phillies and enjoyed watching the games. He was very close to his family and loved to spend his time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
There will be a graveside service held 11AM, Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville, MD.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Barclay Assembly of God Church, 111 Busic Church Road, Barclay, MD 21607.
