PRINCESS ANNE — The fifth annual SchooLARS 4 STEM free summer robotics and golf camp for students in grades 5-11 is now accepting applications.
This year the program theme is “Design Your Own App with AI” and as usual there will be lessons in golf.
Held at the Ocean City Golf Club on Saturdays June 20 and 27, and July 11 and 18, the hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This an interactive camp which includes access to laptops, web design programs and instruction.
Students will problem solve and perform analysis to ensure the app they design works as commanded.
In addition to golf there will be outdoor games, snacks and lunch provided with NASA T-shirts to all campers.
Registration is limited to 45 students, and there is transportation for those who reserve early with the van pick-up and drop-off locations at Crisfield High School, the Marion Fire Department and Washington High and also the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.
There is also a southern route starting at T’s Corner then traveling to Pocomoke Middle School, Snow Hill Middle, and the Dollar General on U.S. 113 in Berlin.
