Free Fishing Rodeos coming to Costen Park, Crisfield Elks pond in May

COSTEN — The first of two free Fishing Rodeos for kids ages 15 and younger is Saturday, May 7 at Costen Park pond from 8 to 11 a.m. with awards beginning at 11:30. Sponsored by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police and Somerset County Local Management Board, participants must be accompanied by an adult and bring their own gear.

T-shirt will be given to the first 75 kids who register online at goo.gl/forms/4Ws5aX1dxt or email Stephen.payne@maryland.gov for more information. There will be food and prizes. Costen Park is at the end on Cottman Lane, located off U.S. Rt. 13 South of Westover.

On Saturday, May 14 at the Crisfield 1044 Elks Lodge pond on Crisfield Highway, the rodeo will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for ages 3-16. For more information about that, contact Nelson Brice at 410-726-7157.
