Frank T. Holding Sr., 74 MILTON - Frank T. Holding Sr., of Milton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 74. Frank was born in Bridgeton, N.J., son of the late John Sr. and Alberta (Bourcher) Holding. A lifelong hard worker, he was a Farm Manager for many years with Draper King Cole and Green Acre Farms. After retiring from farming, he went to work with Bob Willey & Son in Milton for the past 6 years. He was a faithful 37-year member of the Milton Volunteer Fire Department. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family tractor pulling and camping. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth C. Holding; and a son, Frank T. Holding Jr. Frank is survived by eight children, Linda L. Card of Aurora, Colo., Catherine D. Baumann of Georgetown, Larry E. of Milton, Amy S. Magee of Georgetown, Jeffrey A. of Lincoln, William M., and Timothy Y., both of Milton, and James E. of Gravel Hill; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, John Holding Jr. of California; companion of 10 years, Maryjane Hanna, and her children and families, Heather Haines of Georgetown, Cheri Manno, Emily Reeves and Paul Hanna, all of New Jersey; ten grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. A funeral service, with fireman's honors, will be noon Wednesday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton. Flowers are accepted, or contributions in Frank's honor can be made to the Milton Volunteer Fire Dept., 116 Front St., Milton, DE 19968.
