DOVER - Frank Burris passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at Delaware Hospice Center Milford. He was born on Jan. 02, 1932 in Dover, to Clarence and Clara Burris. He was a member of the APA pool league, Smyrna Moose Lodge #2046, American Legion Fox Post #2, VFW Middletown Post 3792. Frank worked for Chesapeake Utilities for 54 years of service. He is an Army veteran. Frank loved shooting pool with his daughter Allison, spending time with family, going to the slots, an avid NASCAR fan, playing bingo, and loved his pug dog "Chyna". He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Reba Dear Burris; and his brother Oscar Sheers. He is survived by daughter and her husband, Allison Ann and Gary D. Seefeldt of Dover; son and his wife, Frank D. and Lisa A. Burris of Dover; brothers, Clarence Burris of Kenton, James Scheers of Dover, Eugene Scheers of Dover; sister, Margaret Whitearm of Dover; grandchildren, Stacy Ann Middleton, Frank B. Burris, Trica Burris; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Cox, Christopher Middleton, Jr., Paige Middleton, and Alyssa Burris. Remembrance Services will be held Tuesday 11/01/2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE. Friends may call Tuesday 11/1/2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE.
