DOVER - Francis Fowler Allen of Dover passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was 60. Francis was born April 19, 1955 in Dover, to Herbert P. Allen and Jean Gonce Allen. He had worked for General Motors. Francis enjoyed people and talking to them. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Elsworth P. Allen; sisters, Louise Kurtz and Christine Mahaffey; and brother-in-law, Willard Brown. He is survived by brothers, Ralph "Sonny" Kahall, Jr. and his wife Lavoura of Smyrna, Roger Cahall and his wife Ruth of Townsend; sister, Jean Brown of Dover; step sister, Sharon Slacum of Smyrna; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and his best friend, Wayne Needles. Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral expenses. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
