Florence Mary Morgan-Harding 'Flo' MILFORD - Florence Mary Morgan-Harding "Flo", formerly of Claymont, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010. She was born and raised in Chester, Pa. She was a homemaker and very devoted to her family. She worked at the Milford Diner for 14 years, before retiring in January 1999. Prior to that she also worked at the Mispillion Lighthouse Marina for 8 years and Ken Stacy, formerly known as Dressco, Inc. in Lewes. After retirement, she went to work part time for the Milford School District in the Food Service Department. February of 1999, she became a volunteer for the Milford Bay Health/Milford Memorial Hospital Gift Shop and Surgical Waiting area. She also volunteered for the Neighbor to NeighborProgram. Flo was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and volunteered there at the Food Pantry and the Calvary Cafe every other Saturday. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women's Group and the Bible Study Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Howard L. Harding, December 6, 1989. She is survived by two daughters and five sons, Karen Morengo and her husband, Gary of Hockessin, Gale Hartzell and husband, Mike of Oakdale, Calif., Kevin and wife, Donna of Magnolia, Howard and his wife, Donna of Felton, Mitchell and his wife, Cathy of Harrington, Richard and his wife, Ginnie of Harrington, and Charles of Milford; three brothers, Richard R. Morgan of Pennsylvania, Albert A. Morgan of North Carolina, Ray T. Morgan of Michigan; two sisters, Elizabeth C. Wikert of Frederica and Annette L. Houle of North Carolina; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Interment will be at Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 301 SE Front St., Milford, DE 19963.
