Florence Green, 83

FELTON - Florence Green, of Felton, passed away peacefully Monday, April 7, 2008, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Donald Woikoski, with whom she made her home for the past seven years. She was 83.

She was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Joseph N. and Sophie (Feduniak) Procko.

Mrs. Green was a graduate of Felton High School, class of 1942.

She was a member of the Frederica Senior Center.

Mrs. Green loved to keep in touch with her family and friends by talking to them daily on the telephone.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and especially great-grandmother.

Mrs. Green was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Flyers fan.

She also enjoyed going to the harness horse races and the slots. Another favorite pastime was watching ice skating, "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson N. Green, in 1998; brother, Walter Procko; and sisters, Mary Todd and Eleanor Hollinger.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law with whom she lived and who took excellent care of her, Kathleen and Donald Woikoski of Felton; her son and daughter-in-law, William and Kimberly Green of Felton; her daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Jigger Morris of Felton; six grandchildren and their spouses, Annette and Richard Ashley, Tracey and Jody Parker, Michael Woikoski, Monica Morris, Renee and Chris Callahan and Jordan Riley; four great-grandchildren, whom she thought the world of, Brent Ashley, Amie Ashley, Declan Callahan and Brogan Callahan; one sister and her husband, Clara and Kelly Polito of Smyrna; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Patsy and Marvin Smith; and the family pet Schnauzer, Millie.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
