Florence A. Bartsch

WARWICK, Md. - Florence A. Bartsch, 82, of Warwick, died Nov. 3, 2010, in her home. Mrs. Bartsch was born on July 16, 1928, in Boothwyn, Pa., daughter of the late Percy and Pearl Mae Copple Ashworth. She and her husband owned and operated the Fieldsboro Farm in Townsend, Del., for 38 years and in 1989 moved to their current farm on Wards Hill Rd., raising dairy and beef cows and horses. Mrs. Bartsch was preceded in death by her husband, Francis B. Bartsch, Sr. in 2008. She is survived by three children, Francis B. 'Franny' Bartsch, Jr. and his wife Carol of Warwick, Doris J. Wooleyhan and her husband Richard "Dicky' of Mt. Pleasant, and Wayne K. Bartsch and his friend Margaret "Peggy' Enfield of Warwick; a brother, Walter Ashworth of Townsend; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 8, in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md., where friends may call one hour prior. Burial in Townsend Cemetery, Townsend. Memorials may be offered to Zion United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 326, Cecilton, MD, 21913. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com.
