Fire Marshal seeks assistance in arson case

MILLSBORO — The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is seeking the public’s assistance with a fire that occurred on Nov. 8 at approximately 9:22 p.m. on the 34000 block of Harvard Avenue in Millsboro at Carillon Woods Apartment construction site. The estimated fire damage to the structure is listed as $1,500,000.

The investigation revealed that the fire was intentionally set and considered a criminal act of arson, said the Fire Marshal. Due to the ongoing investigation, details are being withheld. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is requesting that anyone who may have witnessed any activity during the above date and time to please contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Sussex County Division at (302) 856-5600 or Crime Stoppers at 1800 847-3333.
