Felton man charged with murder following wife’s death
FELTON — A 55-year-old Felton man has been charged with murder following the death of his wife.
According to the Delaware State Police, on Friday at approximately 6:21 a.m., troopers were dispatched to an Andrews Lake Road residence in response to a report of a woman being unresponsive. When they arrived, they observed Virginia Reynolds with several injuries to her body, police said.
Troopers began lifesaving efforts until the victim was turned over to emergency medical services. Ms. Reynolds was then taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Ms. Reynolds’ husband, Leon Reynolds, was charged with first-degree murder. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $1 million cash bond.
