Soon, it will be time for the citizens of Dover to vote for City Council seats that will be open. There are some newcomers running, to give us another choice in who could possibly lead our city. This is not a letter suggesting or telling citizens who to vote for. This letter is to encourage residents to all come out and vote, so their individual voices can be heard.
These are some issues that should be considered before you pull your levers of choice:
I encourage the citizens of Dover to do their individual homework. Go to the city of Dover’s homepage and listen to the past council meetings. I would also encourage voters to contact the incumbent council members of their districts and ask the hard questions that are on their minds.
Remember, if you do not vote in the upcoming election, then you cannot complain about the money/funds that council and the mayor appear to be wasting or overspending.
We need to hold our elected officials accountable for their actions or lack of actions.
Remember to vote!
