Fannie Alline Bailey

Fannie Alline Bailey, 71 FREDERICA -- Fannie Alline Bailey, 71, of Frederica, passed away at home with her daughter Christy by her side Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008. She was born May 2, 1937, in Heidelberg, Miss., one of five children to the late George and Inez Beck. Alline worked in personnel for civil service at the Dover Air Force Base, retiring in 1991. She later enjoyed life as a homemaker. She was a member of the North Bowers Ladies Auxiliary and the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge. Alline was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine Bailey, in 2003. She is survived by three children, Joey Bailey of California, Nancy Mehalshick of Frederica and Christy Mace of Frederica, with whom Alline lived; her grandchildren, Brittney and Ryan Mace, Jesse and Anthony Pillitier, and Blaine and Cole Bailey; and four great-grandchildren, C.J. Haley, Haidin and Jesslyn. Services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, where friends may begin calling at 6 p.m. The Rev. Bill Downing will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of fellowship and dinner Thursday at 5 p.m. at the North Bowers Fire House. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, Christy suggests contributions to the Bowers Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 224, Frederica, DE 19946. Letters of condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
