CLAYTON - Evelyn May Pleasanton, 94, of Clayton, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at County Rest Home, Greenwood. She was born on June 5, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Charles and Mary Franklin Hurd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit W. Pleasanton. She is survived by daughter and her husband, Marilynn L. and Jimmy Mitchell of Clayton; stepson, Richard W. Pleasanton of Milton; grandson, Randy Mitchell; granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Will Mitchell; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Mitchell. Services and burial will be private.
