Evelyn G. Fountain passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at home. Mrs. Fountain was the daughter of the late John Frank and Cora (Thomas) Gardley.
Mrs. Fountain retired from the State of Delaware as the supervisor of housekeeping for DHCI. She had a deep love and enjoyment of her family. You would often find her laughing in the den or on the phone with one of them.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded by her husband, Edward A. Fountain, Sr.; a son, Daymon Fountain; brothers, John Gardley, Jr., Charles Gardley, Raymond Gardley; and sister, Vivian Butcher.
Mrs. Fountain is survived by her children, Edward A. Fountain, Jr., Darryl K. Fountain (Toni), Lance L. Fountain (Yvonne), who was her faithful caretaker, all of Smyrna, Rhonda Mosley of Frederica, Twyla Fountain of Lewes; sister, Gwendolyn Benson of Dover; grandchildren, Shana Mosley, Preston C. Mosley, Jr., Damon A. Mosley, Sr., Tira L. Johnson, Donnell F. Fountain, Dominique Mears, Nile Gillis, Taschica N. Moore, Damon Gillis and Ashley Dukes; 23 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews including two special nieces who the family would like to offer thanks to - Janet Benson and Dayna Benson.
Private services were held.
