CAMDEN - Eva Jane Gaines passed away peacefully on April 7, 2023, at her home.
She was born on January 27, 1932, in Clarksburg, WV the daughter of the late John D. Fisher and V. Pearl Hitt Fisher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Tichnor (Ben) of Grafton, WV and Shirley McEldowney (Cecil) of Bridgeport, WV.
She is survived by her son, Howard Gaines III of Harrington; and daughters, Elaine Gaines of Dover and Cindy Gaines Yeomans (John) of Smyrna. Also surviving are three grandsons, Jordan Yeomans of Texas and Tyler and Garrett Yeomans of Delaware.
She enjoyed traveling, photography and flower gardening. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dover, the Hacker's Creek Pioneers Descendants of W. Virginia, and the Germanna Foundation of Virginia.
The family wants to thank her care givers Margie Clendaniel, Margie Cox and Barbara Haug. Also, to Bayada Home Health Care and Hospice.
Graveside services were held 10AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Camden.
