FELTON - Ernest Allen Kemp Sr., 59 of Felton, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at Bayhealth Center Milford. He is the son of the late Carl and Elizabeth Killen-Kemp. Mr. Kemp worked for the DE St Fair Grounds for 21 years, in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Harrington Moose and a lifetime member National Rifle Assoc. He is survived by three sons, Ernest Kemp, Jr., Charles Franklin Kemp and John Wesley Kemp Sr.; six siblings, Doug, Walter, Frank and Eddie Kemp and Eleanor Hall and and Debbie Baker; seven grandchildren, Ernest Logan Kemp, Amanda Michelle Kemp, Abiageal Moroney, Hannah Belle Kemp, John Wesley Kemp, Jr. Katelan Moroney and Destiny Ann Kemp; and his ex wife, Amy May Crites. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, in the Chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to defray funeral cost.
