Erma Jean Masten

WILMINGTON - Erma Jean Masten, age 81, of Wilmington, passed away on Dec. 14, 2011. She was born in Wilmington, to the late Benjamin Boyd Masten and Florence Davis Masten. Erma worked for the DuPont Company for 30 + years in the Plastic Division. After retirement she actively maintained a role in a retirement club for which a group of retirees would gather. She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment spent with them. Erma had friends and neighbors with whom she had unconditional love and who cared for her not only in her sickness but in health as well. She will be missed by all family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Miriam Masten Weer; her niece, Cheryl Azzolini; great-nieces, Aimee Gallatig and Tracey Azzolini; great-great nephews, Charlie and Jack; her beloved cousins, Josephine Strong, Connie Starkey and Debbie Jack; plus many cousins whom she dearly loved. Her family recognizes and appreciates all the months of caring form Delaware Hospice and her final days at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Friends may call on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, where a service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
