MAGNOLIA - Eriberto Garcia Jr., of Magnolia, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 50. He was born on Nov. 12, 1958, in Mercedes, Texas. He was a veteran of the Air Force where he spent 25 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at DAFB Drug Demand Reduction department as the Program Manager. His hobbies were all outdoors activities especially fishing, hunting, and boating. He also loved to cook and spend time with his grandkids and his dog Marky. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He will be remembered as a loving, caring and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and a giving person. He is survived by his father, Eriberto Garcia; his mother, Esperanza Garcia of Mercedes, Texas; wife, Carolina Zapateiro Garcia; daughters, Stephanie Garcia and Shane Burton of Middletown, and Christy Garcia and Gregg Breeding of Magnolia; four sisters, Maricela Cano of Austin, Texas; Mary Schatzel of Dallas, Texas, Melinda Garcia of Dallas Texas, Martha Ortegon of Corpus Christi; brother, Daniel Garcia of Austin, Texas; grandson, Kenneth Cooper; granddaughter, Danielle Garcia-Breeding; and grandson, Tacarri Burton and a host of families and friends. A memorial service will be today at 12:30 p.m. in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to El Buen Pastor Methodist Church, 341 S. Virginia St., Mercedes, TX 78570. Condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
