Emma Fortney Price, 97

    Emma Fortney Price, of Harrington passed away peacefully at BayHealth Milford on June 16, 2026. She was born in Greensboro, MD to parents, Dewey and Florence Fortney. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband Robert "Bobby" Price (1997), brothers Marvin, Bob and Dewey Fortney, sisters Florence Casper, May Cropp, Ruth Hurd and Shirley Towers.

    She is survived by two sons, Robert "Gene" Price of Rehoboth, formerly of Harrington and Michael L. Price with whom she lived. Also, several nieces and nephews including Patty Fortney, Tom Lankford and Joan Beebe; Fran Mazanet, who she considered a son, Skye Hanna who she considered a granddaughter, Amber Hanna and finally her best friend Pat Weaver.

    Emma assisted her son at Price Funeral Home for 40 years and volunteered with "Meals-on-Wheels" at Harrington Senior Center. She enjoyed hosting New Years Eve parties and loved traveling, including Alaska where she walked on a glacier; Calgary Stampede in Canada; Hawaii where she flew over a volcano; Jackson Hole, Wyoming where she rode atop a stagecoach, plus London, Paris and Madrid to name a few. Cruising was also one of her passions having been on some twenty trips.

    The family would also like to thank all of the Fourth floor nurses at BayHealth Milford for their loving care, the nurses and staff from Accent Hospice Care, and Kim Connelly and Theresa Garrity for their loving support.
