Emily Isabelle Batchelor, 78 STEVENSVILLE, Md. - Emily Isabelle Batchelor, 78, of Stevensville, Md., formerly of Worton, Md., died May 22, 2010, in Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, Md. Emily was born on April 1, 1932, in Chestertown, Md., daughter of the late George and Louise Elliott Batchelor. She was a 1950 graduate of Galena High School. Emily had lived in Kent County most of her adult life, where she enjoyed raising her daughters and helping others raise their children. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Batchelor. Emily is survived by her three daughters, Teresa Coleman and her husband Neal of Stevensville, Md., Virginia Leonard and her husband Arthur of Millington, Md., and Emily 'Franny' Bakeoven of Church Hill, Md.; a step-son, Al Stubbs of New Jersey; a sister, Mary Vickers of Cambridge, Md.; seven grandchildren; Jessica Tribbitt, Shawn Bakeoven, Brad Lofland, Brian Leonard, Kevin Leonard, Christopher Stubbs and Timmy Fowler; and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md., where funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 27 at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in Crumpton, Cemetery, Crumpton, Md. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
