ELLENDALE - Elsie M. Reynolds, died on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in Milford Memorial Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center. She was 80. Mrs. Reynolds was the daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude Dutton. She began her career with the Milford School District working as an aid in the school office. As she progressed in her education, she was able to work as a teacher in the Computer Science Labs at Lulu Ross Elementary, retiring in 1991. Church was a very important part of her life. She was a member of Old Paths Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, sewing and doing crossword puzzles. Her main joy was being with and caring for her family. She was a caregiver for her mother-in-law for years and also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Travers; and a son, James G. Reynolds. She is survived by a daughter, Charlyn F. Bratlie, of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Charles F. Reynolds, of Ellendale, and Gerald L. Reynolds, of Georgetown; two brothers, Harry Dutton, of Georgetown, and Harvey Dutton, of Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Carrie Spurlock, Brian Bratlie, Jessica Reynolds, Jennifer Reynolds, Shelly Fredrickson, Shane Collins, Shyloah Berger, and Christina Travers; and six great-grandchildren, Kylie, Bailey, Mercedez, Sydney, Sophia, and Olivia. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at the Old Paths Church of Christ, 18295 Redden Road, Georgetown, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
