Elsie L. Steerman, 86 HARRINGTON - Elsie L. Steerman, of Harrington, died Friday, July 9, 2010, in the Hospice Center of Milford. She was 86. She is survived by sons, Warren G. Steerman and wife Connie of Harrington, Terry L. Steerman and wife Terri of Harrington; daughters, Linda L. Melton and husband James of Pendleton, S.C., and Tammy S. Shahan and husband Donald Jr. of Harrington; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; brother, William Smith of Bealton, Va.; sisters, Madeline Eckes of Buckhannon, W.Va., and Virginia Ellis of Wilmington. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 14, in Rock Cave Independent Baptist Church, Rock Cave, W.Va. Interment followed at McCutchen Chapel Cemetery, Lewis County, W.Va. Local Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 12, in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington.
