Elsie Hill Kenton, 86 MILFORD - Elsie Hill Kenton, age 86, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Mrs. Kenton was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Rehoboth Beach, the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth "Baynum" Hill. She married William (Bill) Kenton in 1942 and they owned and operated 3 Gables Restaurant in Lewes for approximately 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and spending time at the casino. She also loved the ocean. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill (1984); a son, Freddie Kenton at age of 18 month (1954); and a sister, Betty Calhoun. She is survived by her children, Eugene and Katie Kenton of Frankford, Janet Swain of Lincoln, Elsie Kenton of Seaford, William (Billy) and Duane Kenton of Frankford, Helena and Dean Pepper of Milton, David Minkwitz of Alaska and Nelson and Elouise Kenton of Milford; one brother, Fred Hill of Greenwood; half-brother, Alfred Collins of Georgetown; half-sister, Mary Holloway of Salisbury, Md.; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, Inc., 416 Federal Street, Milton, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Epworth Cemetery, Rehoboth.
