DOVER - Elsie Elizabeth Greenley, of Dover, formerly of Goldsboro, Md., died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, in Dover. She was 80. She was born June 7, 1930, in Goldsboro, Md., to the late William J. and Emma Thorpe Klecan. Mrs. Greenley was a 1947 graduate of Greensboro High school. She was an accounting clerk for Playtex retiring after 53 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and family vacations in Ocean City, Md. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and most of all spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Charles Klecan, and George Klecan; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Greenley. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Greenley and his wife Debra of Ridgely, Md., and Robert J. Greenley of Henderson; one daughter, Deborah A. Young and her husband Joseph of Dover; eight sisters, Betty Smith (Eric) of Marydel, Md., Adelaide "Susie" Klecan of Goldsboro, Md., Shirley McNamire (Bill) of Wyoming, Dorothy Sard of Felton, Edith Greenly of Felton, Ruth Sane (Chris) of Rutherfordton, N.C., Joan Engelsiepen (Dick) of Wyoming; three brothers, John Klecan of Sudlersville, Md., Louis Klecan (Carol) of Felton, and James Klecan (Tina) of Wyoming; five granddaughters, Loree Keeler, Jenny Winchester, Carrie Reed, Kim Greenley, Nicole Young; and two grandsons, Christopher Greenley, Robert Greenly, Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, P.A., 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Md., where a visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 11, 2010. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Md. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 28467 Dupont Boulevard, Suite 6, Millsboro, DE 19966.
