Elsbeth Nagel, 80

MILFORD - Elsbeth Nagel, of Milford, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in Christiana Hospital in Newark. She was 80. Mrs. Nagel was born on June 23, 1928, in Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Ottilie (Scheig) Jaeger. She was a homemaker. Elsbeth enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening and china painting. She was a member of the Milford Senior Center, the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, and the Quilters Gild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Nagel. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul William and Cheryl Farrar and Karl Raymond and Jacqueline Farrar, all of Mt. Airy, Md.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Klothilde Stoecker of Germany and Lucie and Eric Balck of Milford and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial contributions to the Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Avenue, Milford, DE, 19963. Condolences may be emailed at www.delmarvaobits.com/rogers.
