Elnora Grace Anthony, 87

GREENWOOD - Elnora Grace Anthony, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 26, 2009. She was 87. Elnora was born in Greenwood on Sept. 14, 1921, to the late Walter and Anna Willey Fowler. She worked for over 30 years in the Greenwood Post Office. Elnora has attended the Greenwood UMC from her early childhood and faithfully served as organist for close to 60 years and was choir director for many years. She also was church pianist from her teenage years to the present. Her church had a special place in her heart and she was a faithful servant. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Anthony, they were married 59 years. She is survived by her daughter, Dolores and husband Robert Schrock of Greenwood, and her son Duane and wife Joyce Anthony of Harrington; four grandchildren, Suellen, David, April, and Brock; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the Greenwood UMC, Greenwood, friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
