Elmer G. Galbraith

Elmer G. Galbraith passed away at his home on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mary Galbraith. Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susan M. Galbraith; his children, Fred (Marci) Galbraith and Keri (Bob) Campbell; grandchildren, Halle and Payton Galbraith, Jimmy, Emily and Jonathan Campbell; sisters, Mary B. Galbraith and Nicola (Bill) Roberson. Elmer was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on March 2, 1945. He graduated from Laurel High School (Delaware) in 1963 and served proudly in the United States Air Force until 1967. Elmer had a lifelong love of music, playing both trumpet and guitar. He also enjoyed woodworking and electronics. He worked at the Jess Howard Electric Company for 25 years as an electrician, retiring in 2002. Services at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 East Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, Ohio 43054 on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. Mass will be in the chapel at 4 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in the social hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions to his memory can be made to Hospice through the Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213 or online at www.mountcarmelfoundation.org. Arrangements entrusted to Day - Manofsky Funeral Service.
