DOVER - Ellie Boone, of Dover, died Friday, June 1, 2012. She was 82. Born on March 18, 1930, in Toronto, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Harry & Anna Constantine. Ellie became a U.S. citizen on December 15, 1955. She was married for 58 years to Charles J. Boone, until his death in 2006. While raising her two children, Ellie spent time volunteering with the Kent General Hospital Junior Board, the Dover Century Club, and the Community Singers. She was also publicity director for the Delaware Regional Ballet Company in its earliest years. She enjoyed traveling and line dancing with the Modern Maturity Center's Stepping Seniors. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Craig C. Boone. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Tom Gutgsell of Felton; and her granddaughter, Katrina Gutgsell of Felton. The family would like to thank Marijane Copes and her staff at State Street Assisted Living, for the kindness they showed and the care they gave Ellie during her final years. Services and burial will be private.
