Wyoming - Ellen M. Cooper, of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 6, 2014. She was 80. Ellen was born, Feb. 17, 1934, in Milford, to the Late, John W. and Mary Ann (Chambers) Webb. After her graduation from Milford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Ellen had a career as a registered nurse which lasted over 30 years. She had worked for Dr. John C. Rawlins in Seaford for over 15 years, as well as Nanticoke Hospital and the Methodist Manor House. She later served as a volunteer for Delaware Hospice, and was also a 4-H leader and volunteer. Ellen also enjoyed gardening and cooking. In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by a son, Steve Cooper; and a brother, Jack Webb. Ellen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edgar M. Cooper; two children, Sue Ellen Sutton and her husband Bob, of Seaford; and Robert K. Cooper, of Athens, Ga.; a sister, Betty Palmer of Wyoming; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where family and friends may view from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901 or Delaware 4-H Foundation, 113 Townsend Hall, 531 S.
