HARRINGTON - Elizabeth Robbins passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 at Genesis Milford Center. She was born on Jul. 19, 1921 to the late Howard and Virginia Mae (Coverdale) Koontz in Westminster, Maryland. Elizabeth was a graduate of the Class of 1940 from Harrington High School and was a member of the Harrington Alumni Association. She worked for 21 years for Kraft/General Foods. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Robbins in 1985; a son, Jay in 1966; a daughter, Betty Dill in 2015; her brothers, Franklin, Harold and Thurman Koontz; and a sister, Clara Coverdale. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Joanne Lessard, Samuel Robbins, Kathy and Les Bradley, Connie Freeman, Tina and Chris Mertz, Teresa and Harry Raughley, and Kevin and Kim Robbins; a brother, Gene Koontz and his wife Dorothy; as well as 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 Main St., Felton, DE on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., where there will be a time of visitation from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations can be made to Prospect United Methodist Church, P.O.
