'Betsy' Wilkie, 85
DOVER, DE - Elizabeth Louisa "Betsy" Wilkie passed away peacefully Friday, December 30, 2022, at Cadia Healthcare after a 10-year battle with dementia.
She was born April 24, 1937, in Greenwood, Delaware, to the late William Leighton Lord, Sr. and Victoria Madalyn Fry. She was the youngest sibling survived by Dr. William Leighton Lord, Jr. and the late Shirley Anne Bush.
Mrs. Wilkie worked for the Capitol School District for 25 years in the school cafeteria. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her growing family. Betsy was loved and adored by her entire family.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by husband, Rea W. Wilkie.
Betsy is survived by children, Victoria Duke (Richard), Wendy Petrosky (Joseph) and Gregory Wilkie (Joan); grandchildren, Christine, Alexis and, Joanna Petrosky, Lyndsay and Lauren Wilkie; great grandchildren, Emery and Daniel Bennett Van Dyke.
Graveside services and viewing will be private for her immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice.
