Elizabeth L. Thomas, 83 DOVER - Elizabeth L. Thomas, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at the age of 83. Mrs. Thomas had been employed as a medical secretary and court reporter at various stateside and overseas Air Force Bases to which her husband had been assigned to. She retired in 1987 with 30 years Civil Service. She was an avid golfer and bowler but above all she was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Thomas had received her Associate of Arts Degree from Wesley College in May of 1989. She also served voluntarily with her husband for more than 20 years in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Thomas, April of 2000; and a son, Donald C. Thomas in 2008. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her son, Brian C. Thomas of Dover; and grandsons, Brian C. Thomas II of Dover, and Matthew W. Thomas of Magnolia. She will be interred in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden with her husband Kenneth. Letters of condolence may be sent to www.torbertfuneral.com.
