Elizabeth J. 'Betty' Megee, 77 MILTON - Elizabeth J. "Betty" Megee, lifelong resident of Milton, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010, in her home. She was 77. Betty was born in Milton, daughter of the late Joe and Elva (Moore) Hill. She was a cashier in the cafeteria at Milton Elementary, retiring several years ago. Betty was an active member of the Milton Fire Dept. Station 85, Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to the slots. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Lee Megee; a son, John R. Megee Jr.; and a brother, Edwin Hill. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John R. Megee Sr.; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 3, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Milton Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, c/o Jeany Argo, 904 Atlantic Street, Milton, DE 19968.
