GREENSBORO - Elizabeth Ellen Ellwanger of Greensboro, Md. passed away Friday, October, 15, 2010 in the University of MD Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. She was 55. Elizabeth was born July 9, 1955, in Easton, Md. to the late Charles L. and Mary Margaret Gardner Ellwanger. She is survived by one daughter, Sara E. Bennett and husband Jason; one brother, Charles L. Ellwanger all of Greensboro, Md; one sister, Mary Margaret Palys of Vineland, N.J.; two grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Bennett & Jason Lee Bennett, Jr.; many cousins, especially Emily Fry & husband Raymond of Middletown, Del., and Mary Frances Patten of Seaford, Del., and many nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Thomas Ellwanger. Ellen was a 1973 graduate of North Caroline High School; she went on to graduate from Chesapeake Community College. She was involved with her family's farms for many years which included helping with milking the dairy cows. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth & St. Benedict Catholic Parish and the local 4-H clubs. Visitation will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave., Greensboro, MD. on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at 10:30 A.M., at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 1ST Street, Denton, MD. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, MD.
