KENNEDYVILLE - Elizabeth Copper Gsell, 'Betty' passed away at home on July 11, 2015. Betty was born on Sept. 21, 1950, daughter of the late Casper G. and Helen L. Jones Copper. She was a lifetime resident of Kent County where she owned and operated a day care for 25 years. For the last 5 years she worked for the Kent County Board of Education in the cafeteria at Worton Elementary School and Kent County High School. Betty was an active member of Betterton United Methodist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Sutton and Helen Louise Green. Betty is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Gsell; two children, Todd D. Gsell (Tanya Boulden) of Townsend, Del. and Tammy Gsell-Cannon (Richard) of Church Hill, Md.; two brothers, William Copper (Irene) of Phelps, N.Y. and Robert Copper (Sue) of Betterton, Md.; two sisters, Ruth Stigile of Wilmington, Del. and Ellen Copper of Smyrna, Del. and a granddaughter Breleigh Cannon. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md., where funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17 at 11 a.m. Burial will be held privately. Memorials may be offered to the Betterton United Methodist Church, P.O.
