Cunningham, 92 DOVER - Eleanor Madeline Cunningham passed away on Wed., May 20, 2015 at Silver Lake Nursing Home, surrounded by the love of her family. Eleanor was born on Oct. 12, 1922, in Pennsylvania, to the late David and Faye Smeltz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Snowball" Holwig; sister, Lena Dube; and daughter, Ann Pilarek. Eleanor leaves behind to cherish her memories, nieces and nephews, Pamela Pippin (Wayne), Christopher Dube (Shari), Craig Dube, and Jennifer Hroncich; 11 great-nieces and nephews; seven great-great-nieces and nephews; several cousins in Pa.; and her dachshund, Hailey. The family wishes to extend appreciation to the staff at Silver Lake Center, for their care, compassion, and support during this difficult time. A Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wed., 27 May 2015, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE 19934. Friends may gather one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor can be sent to the First State Animal Shelter and SPCA, 32 Shelter Drive, Camden, Delaware 19934.
