Kielbasa, Sr., 92 HARRINGTON - Edward M. Kielbasa, Sr., formerly of Harrington, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Capitol Nursing Home in Dover. Edward was born in Farmington, son of the late Louis and Josephine (Lech) Kielbasa. As a young boy Edward worked on his family farm. He then worked as a police officer with Milford Police Department for 5 years. He went on to a 17 years career as a production supervisor with General Foods, retiring in 1985. After his retirement from General Foods he was self-employed in construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Dare (Corder) Kielbasa; a daughter, Susan D. Marta; a sister, Louise Stewart; and a brother, Apollo J. Kielbasa. He is survived by three sons, Kevin M. Kielbasa and his wife Ellen, of Hawaii, Edward M. Kielbasa, Jr., and his wife Joann, of Felton, and Gregg Kielbasa and his wife Sheree, of Clayton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford. A graveside service will immediately follow in Milford Community Cemetery, Route 113, Milford.
