Goldsborough, Sr., 70 Magnolia - Edward Joseph Goldsborough, Sr. passed away Saturday October 18, 2014 at Kent General Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Goldsborough was born April 5, 1944 in Dover, Del. to the late William Gilbert Goldsborough and Gertrude Maude Greenhaugh Goldsborough, one of six children. He had worked and retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Plant in Dover then in Easton retiring after 35 years. After his retirement he worked for Uncle Willies as a cashier in Woodside/Felton for 10 years. He loved helping people whenever he could. Mr. Goldsborough was a Cub Scout and Webelos Leader for many years. He enjoyed collecting any form of Coke a Cola items. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Beverly, Linda, Norman and Ruth Goldsborough. He is survived by his children, Edmund A. Goldsborough of Magnolia, Edward J. Goldsborough, Jr. of N.Y. and Paula Kelly of Fla.; nephew Charles Baugher and his wife Julie of Magnolia; seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be held in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
