On January 27, 2023, heaven gained an angel when Edward J. Wallach crossed over and joined his parents and family in heaven.
Edward was born on July 14, 1944, to Joseph Davidson Wallach and Evelyn Osterman Wallach. He was an only child and raised in New York City.
Mr. Wallach served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 25 years in 1991 as a Master SGT. He worked for the State of Delaware in the Department of Corrections for 15 years. He retired from the state of Delaware in 2006.
He had interests in many different things over the years from working on cars, camping, fishing from his boat, taekwondo with his daughter and grandson, traveling, computers and more. He was a decorated military enlisted officer.
Mr. Wallach is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan Wallach of Dover, Delaware; his children, Cheryl Browning (Tony) of Magnolia, Delaware, and Robert Wallach (Stacie) of Colorado Springs, CO; and his seven grandchildren, Joseph, Marisa, Elena, Callie, Taryn, Marc, and Hudson.
Visitation and viewing will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 6 to 8pm at Torbert Funeral Chapel located at 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 1pm at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Delaware, 19966.
For those unable to attend the funeral service there will be a livestream on www.torbertfuneral.com, it can be found under the "Upcoming Livestreams" tab and viewed by clicking on his or her name.
